THE WIDE AND WONDERFUL WEDDING MEME

What's prettier than a June Bride/Groom? This meme is all about weddings and marriage! Get out the ring, send out the invites, and engage maximum fluff mode!
PRE-WEDDING/ENGAGEMENT
Proposal
You've got the ring, you've summoned the courage, it's the big moment! Time to get on your knee and pop the question! Or maybe this is spur of the moment – you're so overcome with feelings that it suddenly comes out.
In-Laws
Is it your first time meeting the family, or are you here to announce the engagement? Are they furious for you stealing their baby, or relieved that you idiots finally got together? Celebrate the union, or bring out the drama.
Maid Of Honor/Best Man
It's the next biggest question – bro, will you be there for me? Enjoy some fun platonic friendship – or if you like pain, is the MoH/BM in love with the person asking them? Ouch.
THE BIG DAY
Cold Feet
It just hit you – you're going to be spending the rest of your life with one person. It's reasonable to get a little nervous – does your intended break tradition to talk to you and help calm you down? Or will a friend/family member give you the hugs you so desperately need?
Runaway Bride (or groom)
You thought you would be okay as long as your beloved would be happy – turns out, you're not. Do you burst into the chapel movie-style with a loud I OBJECT! Or are you the one wearing the ring and deciding “nope”, fleeing to find your real one true love?
Here Comes The Bride (or groom)
Skip the drama and walk down the aisle – this is the actual wedding part of the wedding meme. Exchange rings, speak vows, get out the tissues. (Why not make it a rainy wedding day too? I hear the hip youth are into that.)
Skip The Party
Who needs a church and all that hullaballo when eloping is just as good? Are you running away together, or just want a quiet, simple ceremony?
POST-WEDDING
Wedding Party
Time to get drunk and make some embarrassing speeches! Whoa, did the MoH and BM hook up? Look who caught the bouquet! This is the fun for all option – but no one will be judged for some sad “the one that got away” moaning.
Honeymoon – SMUT OPTION
Okay let's be real, we can't stop you from making any of these smutty, this is just the one that was intentionally chosen. Anyway, you're away from the world and all alone, or maybe you're carrying your bride over the threshold at home sweet home – make that big night count!
Drunk Vegas Aftermath
Whoa, what did you drink last night? And... who's that in your bed?! Why are you both wearing wedding rings?!?! This is the hangover option, looks like you two have some regrets besides tattoos. Do you regret it...?
EXTRA – add these to your recipe for extra spice!
Fake
Trying to get out of a sticky situation or shut up the family? Nothing works like a good ol' fake marriage. And it's not like you two will actually fall in love, right...? Oops.
Arranged
Be it a business transaction or some fantasy AU, your fate was decided for you, as was your intended. Have you met before and decided to simply go through with it, or is the wedding the first time you ever laid eyes on one another?
Accidental
Maybe your partner misconstrued things, or this is all your fault, but one way or another, you either accidentally proposed or accidentally got married. Can you take it back without the other person murdering you, or do you decide to keep going?
Childhood Promise
The adorable kiddo option – you're not entirely sure you understand what a marriage is, but you want to be with your BFF forever, so let's promise to get married when we're grown up! Or you can timeskip, reminisce about that silly promise you made as a kid... except maybe you don't actually think it was silly.

Granny kept going "Awww", eating all of it up, while Minima eyed Scrooge carefully. She then cocked her head, going innocent again - or at least feigning innocence as best she could. "Oh, I see! I guess that would save you lots of money." She even threw in a girly 'teeheehee'.
"You know, there are children your age living here." Granny said, affectionately stroking Minima's head. "Why don't you go make some new friends?"
"Yay!"
Magica jerked. "And you are NOT allowed to cast any spells, curses, or hexes on them!"
"Aw."
no subject
"And no playing Dungeons of Eternal Screams, Webby," Scrooge said loudly as he straightened up, knowing that the girl in question was likely in earshot for that. If the little lass wasn't somewhere nearby, he'd be incredibly shocked. "Don't forget that the last time you and the boys played that, the ER called the police."
no subject
At least Minima seemed intrigued to play with another girl her age, skipping off to find the voice. "Boys are so weak, aren't they?"
Granny chuckled. "Oh, Magica was so adorable at that age too! Wasn't she, Rosolio?"
Rosolio sniffled. "I knew I loved her even then!"
"Now now, Rosolio, I said I'd only bring you along if you didn't make a scene." Granny quite casually dismissed the young man. "Now then, Scrooge! I don't want you to feel you have to ever hold back on my account. I may have a few centuries under my belt, but I'd like to think I'm a modern woman of today!"
Magica didn't like that implication at all. "Oh, gods."

"I mean you don't have to go too old-school in front of me! I don't mind you two sharing physical affection when old Granny is around! Sometimes passion just can't be bridled! So if you two are sharing a room before the rings are on, I say go for it! Sure, he's not the youngest man in the saddle, but with us witches, age means nothing when it comes to a great round of-"
Magica slapped her hands on Granny's beak, her face bright red. "WE GET IT."
no subject
"G-Granny, we don't share rooms!" he finally squawked out. "I'm old fashioned that way!"
And that was largely the truth. True, he and Goldie had had a previous dalliance but that had been over a century ago and it hadn't happened since! (Largely because of that glacier showing Scrooge just how little Goldie actually cared for him.) If he was going to marry someone, he'd do it the proper way as he'd been taught.

Magica made a silent gesture behind Granny's back, a you see what I had to deal with? expression.

He led the way through the mansion, somehow managing to scrape together his composure. The house was large and interesting, after all.
"And this is where Magica is staying for the moment," he told them as he led them at last into the guest wing. "Once we're married, of course, she'll be moving into the master suite with me, but I felt that maybe we could set up a more permanent workroom for her either here or perhaps in one of the spare rooms downstairs."
no subject
"You will not speak to them about this." Magica cut in quickly. "I want... to... tell them on my own terms." She finished for excuses. "You know how Mim gets, her jealous streaks, and Roberta is busy." What a surprise to learn Magica had friends! "Do not invite them! It's going to be a small, small ceremony. Family only."
"Of course, bambina, I know that! Family only. Just the four of us."
Magica sighed in relief... then paused. "Four?" Oh no.
"Me, Rosolio, Minima and Ad-"
"ADELIA IS NOT INVITED!"
no subject
"Magica, may I talk to you for a moment?" he asked, reaching out to take her shoulder and lead her down the hall. Keeping an eye on the bedroom door, he asked lowly, "Who's Adelia and why didn't you mention her before?"
no subject
"My cousin. I didn't think they'd invite her because she's the black sheep of the family - she's a fairy!"
no subject
no subject
"Okay, look. You know how the road to hell is paved with good intentions? Imagine a fairy invited to a wedding, and she wants to bless the couple with a long, happy marriage." She raised an eyebrow. "Imagine what that would do to us."
Being forcibly stuck together, forever, with painted smiles on their souls.
no subject
"All right, I get the picture." He then gestured back towards the guest room to deal with her family.
no subject
Granny giggled when they returned. "Aw, did you two want some private time? Young love, how grand." Rosolio groaned, the mental image killing him.
no subject
no subject
"I'm not going to date a cheap knock-off!" Rosolio whined.
no subject
"I'm sorry, but did you say that you already invited her?" he asked.
Given what Magica had told him, this had the potential to cause a disaster.
no subject
"Because you knew I'd stop you if I was there." Magica said under her breath.
no subject
Magica was going to owe him big time.
"When do you think she'll be here? If she decides to come?" he asked. "We have plenty of space but it's more polite to have a room ready for a guest instead of making them wait while everything is being prepared."
no subject
"Well, I did tell her when the wedding was." Granny cupped her chin, trying to think. "She's such a polite girl. Maybe a day or two before to help set things up?"
"If we're lucky." Magica rubbed her temples.
no subject
no subject
"Simple." Magica cut in.
"But what about a whole array of-"
"Simple."
"Not even a little-"
"SIM. PLE."
Granny pouted. "Oh, fine. You can be so inventive with those little schemes of yours, but not a blip of imagination with your own wedding. Very well... at least I'll have nice photos of your wedding dress."
Magica waved a hand. "I don't need one. It's just a quick ceremony."
no subject
no subject
"But, Granny, my allergies...!"
Magica rubbed her temples, groaning. "Sheesh..."
