Step, left, right, back, forward, together, step. It was a pattern, and any with worth her cauldron could handle patterns. They were like recipes and spells, in a way. Do things a certain way in a certain order and get a certain result.

Now that made her cackle. "You? Make me pass out? While we're at it, let's warn the airplanes that pigs are flying!"

A brief smirk was her only warning before Scrooge suddenly had her hand in his, spinning her, and then dipping her low to the ground. He leaned over her, his other arm having slipped down behind her back while the spin had distracted her.

"September 1973," he purred.

"Wha-" That's all she managed to get out before she was dipped! Dipped by Scrooge McDuck!

She blinked rapidly, trying to comprehend what just happened. Why her heart was suddenly beating a million miles a minute. Why her body - particularly in lower areas - was feeling very warm. Why she couldn't get her mind or legs to work at all.

"... What?"

"A highly rare species of avian pigs flew over the northern tip of Britain," he told her with relish, not letting her up for the moment.

It took her a minute to get it, and when she did, it acted like ice water.

"Is there a date when hell froze over too?"

"Not that I know off the top of my head, but I'll have my research department check."

With that, he brought her back to her feet, spinning her again as he held her hand.

"I don't think a wedding dance is supposed to be this elaborate!"

As soon as his arm was extended and her twirling had stopped, he released her.

"No, but I figured you'd be interested in seeing what I can do."

She smoothed down her dress, trying to ignore whatever weirdness she had just felt. "So you can cut a rug. Don't be so full of yourself... more than usual."

"Says the Queen of Humility."

"I never declare myself to be anything more than I am." Huff! "Except when I'm in disguise and trying to trick you."

"Oh please." He rolled his eyes. "Still, I take it you can manage when we inevitably have to do that first dance now?"

"Of course. Besides, it'll be one dance for a couple of minutes."

"And then the rest of the night," Scrooge said.

Then he paused, eyes widening, as realization struck.

"Oh hell."

"... What now?" 'Oh hell' never led to anything good.

"How certain are you that after we've tied the knot, your family will be leaving?" Scrooge asked. "Or do you think they'll stay a few extra days?"
