 One of the disadvantages of immortal youth was that it sometimes limited her options. If she wanted something fresh and young, she needed to be where the fresh and young people where, and gods, their music was awful. What happened to the good old days of violins and organs?

So imagine her surprise as she viewed the buffet to find one snack that looked older than most. She raised an eyebrow - he didn't seem to be in any midlife crisis. The exact opposite, in fact - like if he had any real choice, he wouldn't be here. Well... she could fix that for him.

She licked her lips, and then made her way across the room. A gorgeous beauty like her, it was like parting the ocean waves with a hand. She was by his side within seconds, sizing him up.

Nice, very nice. He even smelled delicious.

"Congratulations, you're the most miserable person here, and I think that includes the janitor."

He might not feel very hungry but his stomach had other ideas, rumbling a quiet complaint. It had been ages since breakfast and he'd been too busy for lunch.

She chuckled, a little amused. "Peckish, are you?"

"Maybe a little," he muttered. "Some of these people I swear are giving me ulcers."

"Poor darling." She gently began to push him off. "Let's get you something to eat."

[richestduck]

"Do we have to leave?" he asked, voice dangerously close to a whine.

[lifesa_witch]

"We can always order room service," She reminded him. "We don't have to go into that cruel world outside."

[richestduck]

"...Okay."

That was acceptable at least. He could order something light and then get some sleep in Magica's arms.

She slid off the bed. "I could always enchant the server so you don't need to give a tip." She joked.

[richestduck]

"Tempting but I think I'll give the server their tip," Scrooge said with a chuckle.

[lifesa_witch]

"If you insist." She gave him a playful shove. 'You only need to order for yourself, anyway."

[richestduck]

He nodded but then looked with concern at her. "Will you need anything?"

[lifesa_witch]

She pointed at her fangs. "My kind don't need to eat. It's more of a... luxury."

[richestduck]

"Aye, but you will need blood sooner or later, won't you?"

[lifesa_witch]

"I've still got plenty of time before I go hungry. I can last two weeks, remember?"

[richestduck]

He nodded his head. "But let me know if you need more. Please."

[lifesa_witch]

"Of course, darling." She stroked his cheek. "I know I can rely on you."

[richestduck]

"Good." He reached up to cup her hand with his before reaching out for the room phone. "I'll call room service then."

[lifesa_witch]

"Take your time." She played with his hand a bit. "I've rarely been anywhere so high-class."

[richestduck]

Scrooge chuckled, giving the in-room menu a cursory glance before ordering what was essential a ham and cheese sandwich and some water. Not much but it was better than nothing at all.

She plopped herself into a chair, enjoying her surroundings. "I think I'll like it here."

[richestduck]

"It is a nice room," Scrooge admitted, looking around and actually taking in the suite as something other than a place to sleep. "But are you going to do some sightseeing, too?"

[lifesa_witch]

"I might," but she wasn't committed to the idea. "But I like waiting for you."

[richestduck]

"You'll be doing a lot of waiting," he warned. "Besides, when will you be able to get to Germany again?"

[lifesa_witch]

"I'm immortal. I could do it whenever I wanted." She shrugged.

[richestduck]

"...True enough."

There was a knock on the door and Scrooge went to retrieve his food in addition to tipping the server.
