Morgana & Utau - Sing A Song
It just felt too... painful, to believe otherwise.
Besides, there were other things that needed her attention. Like right now? Her bandmates were out surveying St. Canard for the next best place to rob, and she needed her full concentration for this magic spell. Sure, the last time she tried to summon a demon to do her dirty work, it wound up going VERY badly. But one could see that as practice! This was the real deal!
So with a bubbling cauldron in front of her, a musty old spell-book in one hand, and her worried bats and spider sitting on her shoulders, she was determined to make this work. She'd never hear the end of it from her so-called family otherwise...
Ah well - at least her hideout made the perfect place for spellcasting. The theater was old, decrepit, with pieces falling apart every hour and a gigantic hole in the roof. That meant no one would ever come by. With another breath, Morgana dropped the last ingredient into the cauldron, and the tome took on an eerie glow as she began to recite the sacred words. ]
When the crypt doors creak
And the tombstones quake,
Spooks come out for a singing wake.
Happy haunts materialize,
And begin to vocalize,
Grim grinning ghosts... come out to socialize!
Re: Morgana & Utau - Sing A Song
And were those voices familiar? From... Once Upon A Dream?
Stepping out of the smoke after it gathered on the ground beside the cauldron, Utau was waving smoke out of her face, trying to front like she wasn't dying to cough. "What the devil is happening this ti..." she was grumbling. Until she saw Morgana. She put her hands on her hips, refusing to show that she was happy. "Well it is about time you showed up again, you left me without my backup music you know."

"Hang on, I need to look something up, this isn't-"
Wait.
"That" voice?
Stunned, she slowly turned her head, and the tome dropped out of her hand. She blinked rapidly, but the image before her remained the same.
"Utau?! You're... you were real?! Those whole... islands, and schools, and everything, was real?"
no subject

Oh boy. A lot of thoughts were slamming into each other at once. Happy as she was to see Utau, the girl being here meant a lot of things were going wrong at once.
"I... I was trying to summon a demon! ... And that's what the band will be expecting when they get back."
Oh, no.
"And I have no idea how you got here. Or how to send you back."
Ohhh no.
"... And you're a human in a world where humans don't exist."
Ohhh nooo.
no subject
"What are you talking about?" Utau asked, crossing her arms. "There are lots of humans in Auradon."
no subject
To help prove their mistress' claim, Eek flitted off to grab Morgana's phone, and offered it to Utau. (Ignore the fact her home screen is Drake with his shirt slightly open.) Accessing her social apps would prove that NO ONE was human - everyone was some sort of animal!
no subject
Yeah, it wasn't social media she was looking through.
no subject
Throat clear. Let's get back on track.
"As I was saying... I don't KNOW how you got here! There must have been something wrong with the spell." She picked up the tome, trying to flip through the pages. "Ugh, why did I listen to Cornea, she always steals what LOOKS promising and never looks at the actual content..."

She trailed off for a moment. Oh, this was about to get worse before it could get better. She inhaled sharply, and exhaled through clenched teeth before answering.
"... Okay, look. I never... lied to you in Auradon, but I wasn't exactly... entirely truthful about me and my career here. My band isn't as popular as I might have implied. We haven't even cracked a thousand viewers online. This theater is the only place we can afford to stay in." As in, free, because nobody else wanted it.
"So... in order to cover the costs of our gigs, we kinda... sorta.... steal from and rob people." She said that last part very quickly.
no subject
Il cackled.
El protested. "NO! You're a good girl now! You decided to be go--" the word was cut off as Il kicked El in the cheek, sending her flying back. Utau caught her out of habit without even looking.

GARY & SEPHIROTH
That was why he was on the rooftop of his ancestor's home, gazing quietly out across the town. Lights were starting to dim in other houses as animals went to sleep. He rested his head atop the coils, content to merely watch in silence. Part of this still felt like a dream - one he never wanted to wake up from.
Funny, though - He came up here to be alone, but now that he could see the setting sun melt on these houses that now belonged to their proper owners... he wished he could share this view with someone else. ]
Re: GARY & SEPHIROTH
Hello. What place is this?
[Spoken as casually as if he had simply walked or driven over.]
no subject
He's confused beyond measure - but he remains polite above all. ]
Oh! Um! Right, I guess not everyone would know about this right away, even after all that... Welcome to Reptile Ravine. My name's Gary...?
no subject
I am Sephiroth. Is this ... Reptile Ravine part of Zootopia?
[He knows Zootopia, but hasn't heard about all the latest commotion, no.]
no subject
[ He says with absolute enthusiasm, before realizing there was a "?" in there for a reason. ]
... But it hasn't been for a long time. It's a long story, but... we're finally apart of Zootopia again.
no subject
no subject
... That's right. We were essentially forced out of here a long time ago, framed and blamed for things we didn't do. We were distrusted... feared. But now the truth has been brought to light - and we're back where we belong.

[ Please don't be sad! ]
no subject
[He's intrigued again.]
no subject
[ He's a guest, and must be treated properly! ]
no subject
Thank you. That is very kind.
