"Not until I can trust you not to run off and make things worse." But, uh... how long would that be? She couldn't exactly stay like this all day!

"Come on." She then scooped up Utau, carrying her bridal-style to the stage. "Let's jam. We could both use that to calm down."

"Ugh! Do I look like Amu? Put me down this instant, because you are sure not Ikuto!" she snapped.

Nope, still not putting her down. She then clicked her tongue, signaling to her familiar to set things up.

Eek propped up the standing microphone, Squeak managed to move the dusty, slightly broken spotlight, and Archie used their webbing to connect the frayed wires to the speaker.

She made it to the stage, only stopping in front of the mike. "Take a breath. Take a few. Then start humming."

"You are not my boss," she said, flatly. Thought he allure of the microphone was as strong as ever. She was fighting to keep her stubbornness in place.

Morgana smirked - she could see the resistance falling. A true musician - rather, a true diva - couldn't hold back the urge to perform when it was literally right in front of them.

To help it along, she began to hum a few notes, and her creatures followed suit - Archie tapping on the stage, Eek clapping their wings, and Squeak using a broken, creaky seat to help add to the rhythm.

Her eye twitched. "Set me down, I can hardly dance like this," she snapped.

Morgana slowly began to set her down and release her, but she did put out a warning.

"If you run away, my bats WILL head right for your hair, and that won't be fun for anyone to untangle."

"They'd hate it more than I would," she snapped back, trusting her Charas to do what she sent them to do.

Well... trusting Il. El, she suspected, would get herself lost.

Morgana rolled her eyes - Utau could have lied and said "yep, I'll definitely stay put." Kid wasn't as bad as she wanted to pretend she was.

So while Utau was at least on solid ground again, Morgana kept her hands on her shoulders - not firm, but also letting her not bolt if the opportunity arose.

"The microphone's calling to you. You really gunna ignore it?"

"You can't play backup with your hands on me instead of your guitar," she countered.

"You're stalling." Morgana replied, lightly moving Utau back and forth as if she was a ragdoll. "C'mon, girl."

With her back to Morgana, the other could not see her bitterness, her pain. And her self loathing.

One again her singing wasn't for her, it was at the command of another. Once again she was trapped by someone she had foolishly thought would care about her. Once again betrayed.

Fine. Just... Fine.

It was perhaps for the best that Il was off looking for Goslyn. Because that was the only thing that kept Utau from turning her magic on the person she had foolishly thought to be a friend.

She didn't get to have friends. Somehow she had let Amu convince her that she could have friends, that people could care.

She knew better.

She was a fool for ever having trusted.

And now once again she was being ordered to sing for someone else's plan, to further bind herself into servitude. Fine.

Fine.

Morgana wanted a song.

A song she'd get.

Ash she began to sing, she wrenched free to turn and face Morgana, altering the lyrics as she went, her face an unemotional mask. She channeled all her rage instead into the song.

It took all her iron will and self control not to cry, not to show the pain that seethed inside her. She took the microphone and threw it past Morgana, away. Just. Away. Not a mic drop that could be misinterpreted as a challenge, but a message. She was done with people who only pretended to care and then showed their true colours the moment she did anything that went against their plans for her. People who just vanished on her but thought she'd be so grateful when they came back that she'd do whatever they wanted.

She. Was. Done.
