[Metal wasn't entirely sure or understood how he'd gotten into this current predicament. Out of habit, he had found himself following after the pink hedgehog even though he didn't have any orders to capture her. He wasn't exactly stealthy in his approach, cutting his rocket short to land next to Amy with a loud CLANG.

And then... he just stares. Partially from scanning her and partially from trying to see where the hiccup in his own programming was. There was obviously a glitch. Metal didn't do things without reason or logic. It just wasn't how he was built.

Unbeknownst to him the only reason was because despite everything, at his very core, he was still Sonic.]

[It's been a weird couple of weeks, following the adventure at the Library of Alexandria. The fear and adrenaline and confusion started to fade, adjustments were being made to the way things now were, and Louie... Well he kind of feels like he learned some things about himself during the whole ordeal.

Like, sure, one of his pep talks had been a bust, but he'd really managed to psych Dewey up to do what he needed, and talking someone else into success felt so much better than talking himself out of trouble. He wants to hone this, and he's pretty sure he knows who to go to for that. There's a knock on the door to Scrooge's office.]

[Boober wasn't excited to come see the battles, really. Not because he had a problem with Pokemon battling, but because it was a lot of noise, and a lot of people in a more condensed space than had been the case in Hisui. Still, he wanted to be there to root for Riz.

And oh boy is he regretting it now! This competition is loud and so visually busy and nope! Not a fan, not at all! The only thing he could think of doing was bolt out of the stadium, at least the rest of the space would be quieter during a battle. So he just does that, bumping into more than a couple people in his haste.]

[Even with the masquerade, it was hard for Dorothea not to stand out. The deep red and silver gown flattered her full figure perfectly without being too ostentatious, she thinks, and it's hard not to notice her finely tuned grace on the dance floor, just as much at home with waltzing as modern freestyle. At least the rose-themed mask hides most of her face and shades her green eyes. That's all she wants really, a night of fun without being recognized, without everyone fawning over Dorothea Arnault, the music world's latest hot new sensation. That's why she went to college in the first place, to try and figure out if there was more to herself than a singer, form a backup plan because fame only lasts so long. ... Okay, and maybe seeing if there's a cute person or two to flirt with, snag a date if she's lucky.

For now, though, dancing is thirsty work, even for someone who has leagues of experience with it. A trip to the refreshment table is in order, and if there's a dessert that's not too sweet, maybe a little fruity, even better.]

[ it had been a rough week for naoto; from waiting on replacements for his prosthetic, to just general nonsense, it made the stress unbearable to deal with. he would've lost his mind if he had to deal with it alone. and before he even met makoto, he genuinely thought his life would've ended soon, despite knowing deep down that there was more to life than just going through boring motions.

but its moments like these, where he was in the kitchen, preparing the night's dinner for both he and makoto without question is where he felt the most grateful for everything that's happened, even if their first meetings weren't the best, in his opinion. he'd be embarrassed to admit it, but he knows that it's not that far from the truth. naoto just hoped that he still had time before makoto came over. ]

[Eda is a con-artist and a hustler, she does not exactly get along with the likes of Scrooge McDuck. But sometimes, things just work out funny. Sometimes an adventuring billionaire needs some very specific magical items to get to a lost treasure. And as it happens, Eda's the one in possession of said items. How legally they were obtained isn't the point here.

She could've sold them to Scrooge, but Eda rather lend them out with a condition: She's part of the treasure hunt too, now. After all, the old duck is notoriously tight-fisted, so she figures she'll make more this way.

Especially if she double-crosses him, which is not off the table. But for now she's on the wildest plane ride of her life. Shoulda flown solo on the way there, but it's a little late for that. After a particularly risky bit of maneuvering on the part of the pilot, Eda gives Scrooge the best glare she can manage while also being scared for her life.]

The richest duck in the world really couldn't spring for a decent pilot, huh?
