first date - It's a date! Or not. Maybe you're just at the skating rink, the intergalactic space station, or the five an dine at the same time.
If someone asked Antoine if he'd even been on a date before, he would laugh and say of course he's been on dates, many girls back home swooned over his suave techniques, and he had dozens of girlfriends in the past.
These are, of course, all lies.
Which was why he was so amazingly nervous and anxious as he went to meet his first girlfriend. It was still a miracle in his mind that not only did she agree to go out with him, but she had actually liked him too! What were the odds?! What was this luck?! But one thing was for certain - he was not going to screw this up. He was going to show her a good time, because she deserved a good time.
In one hand he held a picnic basket, filled with small meals he had made himself. Due to Eggman's continuous attack on the world, and that the Freedom Fighters were still mostly in hiding, they couldn't afford to go out to big cities or do expensive things, lest they catch attention. Antoine hoped a simple picnic under the warm sun on the soft grass would be all right with her.
He also hoped she would liked the bouquet of roses in his other hand. All right, so maybe the 'suave techniques' thing wasn't a complete lie.

But all in all she decided to go with the same ol'. Nothing like dressing casual, right?
She walked up just as casually to their picnic location. "Antoine? You 'round here?" Bunnie called.

He cleared his throat, wearing a look of slightly arrogant confidence as he walked into her line of view. "I am hoping I did not keep you waiting, mademoiselle."

"Pour vous." Antoine pressed the bouquet forward, hoping she enjoyed the gift.

This was going to be memorable, at least.

Bunnie held both of her hands up in an effort to stifle the sudden burst of panic. "N-nah, Ah ain't allergic. They're beautiful, Antoine." She was just trying to make a good impression. Too hard. "How about we sit? These flowers would make my kinda center piece for a picnic like this."
no subject
"Y-Yes, we shall be sitting, momentarily!" He stuttered, trying to grab some sense of control in this situation. He reached into his basket, and whipped out a long, thick blanket to use on the grass. Once it was down, he dashed to make sure no corner was turned, no wrinkle was made obvious, no bug invited within its thread. "... Zere. All done."

She joined him moments later and sat with her knees one on top of the other. "Ah've been lookin' forward to tryin' your new dishes all week. Your cookin' is always the best."

But as he began to take out covered dishes, it occurs to him that maybe, just maybe, he went a little bit overboard. "A-hem...we have Grilled Brie Sandwiches with Apricot Jam, Summer Bouillabaisse with Smoky Rouille, Spring Niçoise Salad, and a side of Onion Soup."
Thankfully for drinks, he'd just brought along water bottles, but the silverware was in fact pristine, polished silver.

"Anoine, What do ya say to sittin' outside and lookin' at the stars?" Bunnie scooted closer. "Ah hear it's supposed to be a sight with the meteor shower."
no subject
"A lovely idea." He said with a smile, and while he didn't scoot in like she did, one of his hands was quietly tip-toeing near hers. "A whole sky full of wishes to make... though, I am admitting, most of mine have already come true."

Yet she could feel her cheeks turning red.
"If I could wish for somethin'? Ah would wish for a Knight in shinin' armor. He wouldn't have ta actually be in armor, just an honest guy with a good heart."
And a cute face to boot!

Also, how cute was she when she was blushing? SUPER CUTE, THAT'S THE ANSWER.
He could already guess the game she was playing, and went along with it, running his thumb along her palm. "Ees zat so? Hm... such men are difficult to be finding zese days! I am wondering where one such person could be."

"And zat zis lucky man ees smart enough to never let such a wonderful chance go."

She stood on her tip toes and gave him a quick peck on the cheek.

He couldn't tear his eyes away from her. Didn't want to, didn't care to. He forgot about the food, about the time, about the stars, about everything and anything. He gazed at her with a lo-sided smile, amazed he could be so fortunate to know her, let alone date her. If uninterrupted, he could have stared at her all day long.
