It's not as the ranch never got rich clients before - but what would come upon their humble abode this day was a few steps higher than mere "rich". The two that exited the limo were in a league all their own.
"I don't know about this."
"Look, it's got five stars from all the best rating sites. And you said you wanted to be with some animals."
"Doesn't mean I want to live in a zoo."
"None of that now. Let's give these people a nice little opportunity to better themselves with our presence... smile, darling."
With that, a pair of twins headed up to the front desk, their exhausted chauffer carrying way more bags than the human arm could really shoulder. One would think the two were moving in instead of crashing for the weekend.

"Just fix the blasted system." Fergus scowled at the computer. "Never had this kind of issue with the old metal keys."
"Until someone copied them in town and broke in."
"Nng."
no subject
"Private cabin for two, please." Said the woman.
"Two separate cabins." The man interrupted.
"Poe-"
"Magica, we are here to relax. And how can we do that if we're completely hovering over each other? It'd be no different than home."
"This whole thing was your idea."
"Like it'll make a dent in the mint."
The woman, Magica, sighed. "... Two it is."

After all, the ranch only did reservations. Walk-ins were welcome in the beginning, but the place had gotten so popular that it was next to impossible to have free cabins at all times.
no subject
"Charmed," she added drolly.

A few more keys and the card machine spat out two card keys.
As she slipped them into two separate sleeves, she asked, "Would you two like spare keys to each other's cabins?"
no subject
"No."
Magica glared at her twin, but glared back.
"We have phones. What kind of possible emergency could there be that we'd need spare keys?"
"Fine. But I better not hear any whining about 'missing sissy'."
"I haven't called you that in years."
"You literally called me that this morning."
no subject
"Here you are." She handed each of them a key. "Miss De Spell, you're in Sugar Loaf. Mr. De Spell, you're in Sugar Plum."
Fergus eyed the bags. He rolled his eyes. "Ah'll call for someone to carry all yet luggage." He pulled out a satphone with walkie talkie capabilities. "Scroogey, going tae need a couple of hands. Got a lot o' luggage fer some visitors."
"Arthur and I will be right over."
no subject
A small salute, and off he went.
"The purple bags are mine, the black ones belong to Poe."
no subject
"As we'll ever be," Scrooge said.
Arthur looked at the collection of luggage and gave a low whistle, tapping the brim of his hat. "You two's got quite a bit there."
no subject
Magica was the one to speak again first. "Better to be safe than sorry. We've never been at one of these types of... things before."
"We've been at resorts, bungalows, islands, hotels, motels, and the like..." Poe explained. "But this is our first ranch."
no subject
Scrooge chuckled as the two of them picked up the bags as if they didn't weigh much at all, so used to living hefty bundles of hay and other things. "If you'll just follow us, we'll get you where you need to go." He glanced at his sister.
"Sugar Loaf and Sugar Plum."
"Got it."
no subject
The twins made a connected "hm" sound before following him.
"Your co-worker seemed fairly confident about this place." Magica said. "Must be a hefty salary for that PR."
no subject
Arthur chuckled. "Given some of us have night shifts and whatnot, it's better than havin' to drive. Plus Mrs. McDuck makes some damn fine food. I'll take the pay cut if it means I get to eat like a king every day."
Scrooge laughed. "If Mummy hears that, she might give you an extra slice of pie for dessert."
"If that's the case, let's take a little detour by the kitchen so I can repeat myself!" Arthur laughed.
no subject
"How... charming." Magica said without a drop of care.
"Yes, very... rural." Poe wasn't even sure if that was the right word to use.
no subject
"Sorry, Gunmetal, Coppertone, but we don't have anything for you right now," Scrooge said affectionately.
The dark gray one, Gunmetal, huffed and stamped her hoof in irritation.
no subject
Poe wasn't as charmed, and even tried to pull Magica away. "Magica! That one is called GUNMETAL, it's probably dangerous!"
"It's in a paddock, Poe, it can't even bite me at this angle!"
no subject
"She's named for her color, Mr. De Spell, not her temperament," Scrooge explained. "She's very sweet if a bit pushy when it comes to getting treats."
no subject
Poe grumbled, but didn't add on. As long as Magica was happy...
no subject
"Show off!" Scrooge called towards the stallion.
no subject
Poe rolled his eyes, trying to drag his sister along. "We do have a room to get to..."

no subject
Great. Two against two. Poe looked at Arthur, trying to gesture for some help in getting them to move.
no subject
Scrooge blinked before blushing. "Ah. That's right. Sorry about that."
They resumed the trick towards the cabins, arriving at Sugar Loaf first.
"This is your cabin, Miss De Spell."
It was a relatively modest little cabin if one chose to ignore the private hot tub on the deck. There was a wet bar just inside the door, leading the way to the living room with a large flatscreen TV above the fireplace. There was a Blu-ray player and a satellite TV box set into a niche in the wall, out of the way of everything while still easily-accessible. A king-sized bed was just behind a set of railing separating the bedroom from the living room, allowing the occupants to lie in bed while watching TV or the fireplace. Just off of that was a luxurious bathroom that included a jacuzzi tub and a shower large enough to wash one of the horses in.

"I specified there was to be no alcohol in our cabins." Poe said, a bit gently, and at that Magica seemed to relax.
no subject
He wasn't sure what the issue was, but it wasn't his business. His job was to mind the horses and make sure his Uncle Pothole didn't sink the entire endeavor.
He took some of the bags from Arthur and led the way to Poe's cabin. It was a mirror of Magica's right down to the wet bar completely lacking alcohol.
