Magica was genuinely happy - not the malicious smirk of making her enemies suffer, nor the lustful glee of a good night in Scrooge's arms - no, what was on Magica's face this evening was of pure happiness. And why shouldn't she be? The one person nearest and dearest to her heart was finally coming home. The moment she'd gotten the notice - via a letter tied around a raven's leg - she ordered the most lavish celebration the coven could create for his arrival. All the best wines were to be brought up, the fattest pigs slaughtered...

The entire castle was gathered in the throne room - slaves, witches, warlocks, relatives and minions, all were to be there for the return of the second head of the coven. The moment the doors opened, the music played, and everyone else fell to their knees in worship.

Funny enough, the man in question didn't appear to give a damn about what was going on.

Sure, he was smiling, but he wasn't acknowledging anyone he walked by, no matter how loudly they called his name and praised his safe return. As far as Lord Poe De Spell was concerned, there was only one other person in the room - his dear sister.

Once Poe arrived at the base of the thrones, he put an arm to his stomach and bowed graciously. Magica in turn placed a hand on her dress for a simple, quick curtsy. "It is good to see you home safe and sound, Poe."

"It's good to be home, Magica." He raised his head. "The conquest of the southern territories was a complete success. They shan't be giving us anymore trouble."

With the formalities over with, Magica suddenly ran into Poe's arms, and he held her as tightly possible.

This time, Scrooge caught it in time.

"I need to go fetch your dinner, Master. Thank you for the lesson." He smiled. "I never knew numbers could do all that."

Poe blinked, startled. He glanced at the window - had it really been that long?

He clicked his tongue, but closed the book. "And Magica would have gotten on my nerves about me skipping, no doubt..." Scrooge did good, so Poe supposed he earned some praise.

Poe scritched Scrooge under the chin like he was a cat. "Numbers can only do so much. Our minds take us the rest of the way."

Scrooge hummed with pleasure at the attention. Poe was likely right, but Scrooge could see some cases how it might work outside of theory.

Once the scritching was done, he bowed and headed for the kitchen, re-wrapping his arm.

After dinner, he planned to do some interrogating of the kitchen servants, and find out what really occurred. Could something really have happened to Scrooge and bypass the distelfink? Or was he actually that clumsy?

He stood up, and began to return the books to their proper place. Magica would've used her magic to pop them where they belonged, but Poe tended to be more practical and less wasteful.

The other slaves had been testing the boundaries of what they could get away with to retaliate against Scrooge. A McDuck having such protection was obscene. He was the lowest of the low. Why would Shadow Queen Magica waste her time and powers on him?

It took a bit of doing, of course, but if a scenario had the probability of causing injury to Scrooge by accident, the distelfink wouldn't lash out at the perpetrator. The burn from that morning had come from someone hurrying about the kitchen, forgetting to warn Scrooge that something hot passing behind him. When Scrooge had turned around, there'd been some shuffling from both parties and a splash of boiling hot soup had landed on his arm. The distelfink had ensured the burn wasn't worse but didn't strike back at the person who'd made the mistake.

It was... troubling. If Poe made a bigger stink out of this, then the ire around Scrooge would grow only worse. Not to mention there was no actual proof of any wrongdoing. There was no real way to offer him protection without making things worse.

... Except, of course, by fear.

It was already known that Scrooge was favored by the Shadow Queen, and maybe they had suspected Poe's return would diminish that. But what if the Shadow King also favored him? Scrooge's enemies would have to know retaliating was hopeless.

So in the end, Scrooge spending the night with Poe was really for his own good. He'd have dessert sent to his room, and take things from there.

Scrooge delivered Magica's dinner before heading to Poe's room with the dessert he'd requested. It looked good, honestly. However, he dare not try to sneak a taste. He knew better.

"Enter."

Poe sat up in bed, dressed in a thin night shirt. Seducing a slave was sort of ridiculous - they would sleep with their owners regardless. Still, the Spells had egos that needed to be fed as often as their stomachs.

"Come here."

Scrooge walked over, still carrying the dessert. Poe was just as handsome a man as Magica was a beautiful woman. He supposed he shouldn't have been surprised.

"Is there anything else you might need, Master?"

"An excellent question." Once Scrooge was close enough, Poe snatched a piece of dessert and put it to Scrooge's lips, recreating the night before.

Scrooge tensed for a moment before relaxing, taking his time to eat the sweet off of Poe's fingers just as he'd done the night before. Magica really had been a good teacher.

Good boy. "Sit," Poe gently commanded, tugging Scrooge by the wrist to the bed.

Scrooge did as commanded, sliding in beside Poe though one leg overlapped Poe's.

Scrooge was no fool. Poe picked up another piece. "You know what's going to happen to you tonight, don't you?"

"We're spending the night together," Scrooge answered. "And we will be having sex again."

He wasn't a fool. At least he didn't feel sore anymore...though he figured that would change soon enough.

"Correct. However..." He placed the piece to Scrooge's lips. "This time, you'll be the one taking me."

What better way to get the "job" done, without risking Magica throwing a fit over Scrooge getting hurt?

Scrooge looked down at the space between Poe's legs. "You mean like how you took me a few days ago? From behind?"

"It can be done facing one another, if you prefer." He raised an eyebrow. To be fair, there were many sexual positions they could've taken, but Scrooge seemed to be struggling with the initial concept as it was. Best to take it simple.

"How?"

If he was going to please Poe, he needed to know. He wanted to do a good job to avoid causing a rift between Poe and Magica. For all he knew, if he caused trouble, he'd be in for a world of hurt.

"We'll take it one step at a time." They hadn't even gotten blood flowing downstream yet.

He leaned for a kiss, and then teased. "Or can you only enjoy it if it's with Magica?"

"I can learn. Please teach me, Master," Scrooge responded just before he kissed Poe. Then he started to preen Poe's neck feathers.

Poe took the dessert plate and put it aside - they'd be hungry for it later. The kisses would be soft at first, with Poe cupping Scrooge's cheeks and trying to calm him down.

There were no breasts for him to fondle, his usual trick to start turning Magica on. He wasn't sure what to do as his hips automatically rubbed against Poe's.

He just needed to pay attention. To learn what it was that Poe's body was trying to tell him...

After a few more kisses, Poe's tongue began to glide in Scrooge's mouth, still tasting dessert. While one hand still cupped Scrooge's cheek, the other slid down his chest before settling between his thighs, stroking him slowly.

Scrooge moaned into Poe's mouth, his body stiffening at Poe's attentions. He pressed himself into Poe's hand, allowing the other man to feel his desire.
