Reasons To Spoil

 

Holiday – Valentine’s Day! White Day! Christmas! International S'mores Day! Real holidays or ones solely in your canon/AU, it’s the perfect excuse to give and get gifts. Maybe it’s the first time this person has ever celebrated, a milestone of an accomplishment, or an anniversary of a special event!

 

Birthday – We gunna party like it’s yo' birthday. Will your character throw a lavish celebration, or a domestic one on one get-together? The world’s a better place since this character was born, so why not go all out with cakes too?

 

Apology – You dun goof’d. Whether it was a huge mistake or you’re blowing something small out of proportion, it’s time to make up! Although there’s always a chance of going over-board…

 

Ills – A twisted ankle, a case of the sniffles, or the bad brain struck again. Maybe some TLC is the perfect cure – or at least will tide them over until they’re at their best again. Become their personal nurse and spoil them back into smiles!

 

Ways To Spoil

 

Shopaholic – ‘Cause we are living in a material world. Drag that special someone through the mall, expand their wardrobe, glam them up with jewelry, have bouquet after bouquet delivered to their place. This prompt is all about blowing the big bucks on your babe, even if it means going bananas.

 

Sugar Sugar – Aw honey honey. Whether you baked them yourself or ordered them super special, this is about presenting characters with food galore! A big ol’ breakfast, lavish lunch, decadent dinner, or a delicious dessert. Stuff ‘em full, then make room for ice cream!

 

Hugs and Kisses – Sometimes love can only be felt, not bought. Give those tsunderes some hands to hold, cover that cute face in kisses, and don’t let them do anything but cuddling. This prompt is for those who feel others need to drown in affection.

 

You You You – Time is a special gift too! Maybe your characters just want a whole day of being with the other, whether it’s relaxing at home or heading off to an amusement park. Take them to your favorite neck of the woods, learn more about each other, and promise this won’t be the last time.

 

Mandatory Smut Option – I’m here for you, you dirty birdies. Spoiling can be a bedroom activity too, giving until it hurts – literally.

What? [Keith looked confused, waving his hands a bit to slow her down.] Hey, hey... it's fine. I did say seven, but I wanted to make sure things were ready first... I mean, unless you really wanted to cook. But... [He rubbed the back of his neck.] I had kind of wanted to make this for you... you know?

[Oh. Oh... That definitely gets her to stop. And full-on blush.]

Y-you did...? [No wait] I mean... Thank you, that's-- that's amazing... I uh, sorry, I just...

[Didn't see it coming. Still, that shine in her eyes and the awed tone make it clear she's absolutely swept off her feet by the gesture.]

[The blush got him to smile.]

You're used to doing the cooking.

[He chuckled a little.]

It's okay, Kotori. Really. You don't have to be the chef all the time. I... It's just something I wanted to do for you.

[But, speaking of food...]

Come on. I'll show you what I'm making. I have to flip the salmon anyway.

[He closed the front door and led her out to where the grill was.]

Salmon?

[He had her at "making this for her," but fiiiish. She loved fish almost as much as she loved rice, which was very much saying something. Follow along she shall!]

Yeah. They had some good looking salmon steaks at the store, and I thought it would be good.

[It wasn't a big place, so it took no time at all for them to get to where the grill was on the small patio. Carefully, he lifted the lid and used a pair of tongs to poke the two steaks slightly to see if they were stuck at all before flipping them over.]

Man... smells really good, too.

Mmmm oh my gosh they do... My mouth's watering already~!

[Now that the idea's finally sunk in, she's really excited about getting to relax and eat a meal just for her, made by Keith, someone quickly becoming precious to her.]

[Secure that they weren't going to stick and break apart, Keith easily flipped the salmon steaks over.]

Only a few more minutes.

[He smiled back at her, lowering the grill cover again.]

Do you want something to drink?

[That was... the one thing he didn't think of... shoot.]

Oh, water's fine!

[Her smile suddenly grows sweet as she lightly takes his hand.]

Really... all of this is so sweet, Keith. Thank you so much.

[Keith squeezed her hand as she took it, giving her a smile in return.]

Of course. I know you love to cook for everyone, but I wanted to do something nice for you. You've helped me a lot.

[A soft squeeze of his hand in return.]

You've helped me a lot too...

[And he had, standing up for her when she needed it, helping her work through her knife phobia, giving her someone to talk to about her issues with her parents that REALLY understood.

She leaned in to kiss his cheek, not fully pulling away...]

[Oh... she stayed close... Keith felt his face get warm again. He smiled a little, shyly, and rubbed his thumb across the back of her hand for a second before closing the short distance between them again to kiss her back... on the lips.]

[Oh... she gave a little gasp against his lips before she smile against him, lightly pressing back as she took both of his hands to squeeze them.]

[He squeezed her hands in return, pulling back finally after a moment.]

I'm glad we met.

Mm... [She leaned her forehead against his, both sets of long black bangs mingling.] I'm glad I met you too, Keith. You're... you're really amazing.

[tempredmental]

[He blushed a little.]

Thanks...

[Oh, right! The food. He blinked at the sudden realization, and then chuckled.]

Oof... you're distracting.

[He grinned at her, and then gave her a quick kiss before making sure the salmon was done before easing it off the grill.]

[Oof... she didn't know which stunned her more: the words, the playful grin, or the quick little kiss... She's left staring after him, a goofy grin slowly blooming on her face.]

I... r-really?

Mm-hm.

[He smiled, liking that reaction, too. It kind of felt good to know he could get that kind of response out of someone he wanted to impress. He closed the lid on the grill, leaving it on for now to clean off any remnants. He would turn it off right before they sat down.]

Definitely.

[He led her back inside so he could get the potatoes out of the oven and plate them with the salmon filets.]

[Yeah she'd just... float in after him, birdy was firmly on Cloud Nine for a good few seconds. But oh right, duh, manners with setting up, even if Keith was treating her.]

A-anything I can help with?

Uh, sure... if you want. Forks and stuff are in the drawer there, and the salad is in the fridge. Pick whichever dressing you want, if you want one. I'll have the ranch. [She'd find a couple of options, ranch, thousand island, and a vinaigrette, in the fridge as well.

He plated the potatoes and the salmon and brought them over to the table as she got those, and then grabbed a lemon to slice, bringing that over with the salt and pepper. As they finished up the table, he excused himself just long enough to shut off the grill and come back inside.]

[With a nod, she set out to grab those. Ranch for Keith, vinaigrette for her, silverware... setting those in place even as she watched Keith step out... God, how did she get to be so lucky to meet someone as cool and sweet as Keith, let alone that he'd think she was attractive, that they'd fall for each other like this. She'd have to think of ways to spoil him in return, and soon.]

[Keith closed the door and then paused when he spotted her watching him. He shyly rubbed the back of his neck.]

Everything okay?

[Oh, crap, act natural, Kotori!]

O-oh yeah! Yeah, e-everything's okay, table's ready whenever you are!

[Keith couldn't help the small chuckle over her response. Kotori was cute when she was flustered. He came over to the table and joined her, pulling out her chair for her.]

Good. I'm glad things are okay.

[Phew, nailed it! She calmed down again, but she still gave him a blushing smile as he moved her chair for her.]

[He smiled at her and then settled down in his own chair, doling out some salad for himself once she had hers. Then...]
