Scrooge left the window and walked down the hallway, Duckworth appearing as if summoned by a thought.

"Tell the others that it's showtime," Scrooge ordered him swiftly. "Our 'guests' are early."

With that, Duckworth disappeared to inform the rest of the family.

Scrooge himself opened the front door, walking out onto the front steps with a congenial and slightly apologetic smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you all. Sorry for the outburst. Magica was working on a rain potion that spilled all over her because of the explosion. Seeing lightning crackling in her hair was a bit startling but she doesn't seem the worse for wear."

He looked over the group, taking them in. Well, three people he could handle. Yes, they were magic wielders, but he wasn't entirely helpless. Time to up the charm a bit.

"So you three must be Minima, Rosolio, and..." He paused, allowing an expression of confusion to cross his features. "...forgive me, but I thought her grandmother was coming. You can't be much older than Magica, miss."

Flattery. The best way to get someone on the back foot.
