don't tell me never / you'll love me forever (scrooge x magica)
Although Magica had been locked away in the dime for many years, she wasn't up to date on Scrooge's life. But now that she was flesh and blood once more, she could begin to catch up. Although Scrooge and his meddlesome family had destroyed one of her stronger spells, that didn't mean she was completely hopeless. She just needed time to research and plan... and eventually, her work bore fruit.
If there was one thing Magica had learned from her failure, it was this - Scrooge's weakness was his family. And it would now be her greatest strength.
Although the Money Bin had since been restored after her battle with Scrooge and his kin, there hadn't been any time to put up counter-spells. In other words, she found it easy to sneak in with the shadows, waiting until Scrooge was alone in her office to strike.
Naturally, she waited until there was a peak thunderstorm outside. What could she say, she did love a good dramatic entrance - a flash of lightning, and she'd reveal herself.
"Working late, Scroogie?"

"Working late, Scroogie?"

"Magica de Spell." He commented matter of factly.
He could not deny himself a certain admiration for the witch. It wasn't long ago that she had been beaten devastatingly but despite all the shame she was already standing in front of him again full of self-confidence.
Protectively he grabbed the dime around his neck as he stood up to face the witch. He respected her as a worthy opponent, but he did not fear her. He stepped towards her to a few centimetres. "What are you doing here?" He growled combatively.
no subject
"Oh, you didn't think I was gone forever, did you?" She placed a hand to her chest, pretending to be insulted. "True, my exit before wasn't exactly... dignified... but I'd like to think we all deserve second chances."
Time for her to cut to the chase. "I was surprised that you didn't go running to Mummy and Daddy about your victory against the big bad sorceress.. until I learned about that rather inconvenient trap you put them in."
no subject
For a moment, she really managed to make him speechless. With his eyes wide open, he looked at her in bewilderment. But then his gaze became angry. Quick as a snake he grabbed her by the collar. "What have you done?"
no subject
"That's the best part... I didn't do anything." She cooed, trailing her fingers up his arm. "This is all on you, if I recall correctly. You restored your family's castle, and oh-so-accidentally gave your parents immortality... and trapped them so they can never see their family except every so-odd number of years." A playful tilt of the head.
"Am I wrong?"
no subject
Fantastic. He had even managed to hide this dark secret from Donald. Thus Magica, who was walking on earth for the first time after fifteen years, unerringly managed to discover his greatest weak point... What an opponent.
"I didn't mean that and you know that... what do you intend to do with this knowledge now?"
A shiver ran down his back as her fingers graced his arm. Her erotic charisma hadn't changed in all those years either. The ancestry of Circe was to be recognized in every word, in every movement. Tempting and dangerous.
no subject
She let that hang for several seconds before dropping what he knew was to come. "... For a price."
no subject
With her "offer " Scrooge only laughed dryly. "Magica, you should know me well enough that I would never give you my first dime. Especially not with the knowledge of what the magic you get from it does to you. What is the use of freeing my parents if they only get into a world of destruction?"
The guilt that he had done this to his parents weighed heavily on his heart. But never again did he want to see Magica corrupted by dark magic... "So forget it..."
no subject
"No, I'm after something much more valuable." She wrenched his hands from her collar, and then leaned in closely, barely letting any breath get between them.
"What I want... is you."
no subject
He took a step back from her, but continued to look bravely into her eyes. Still he had to swallow before he could answer.
"If you want my death. Then why the effort to help me first? With all your magic it will be possible for you to kill a simple mortal without me surrendering to you..." His gaze pierced her. "So why don't you just try it? But I promise you, I will fight to the last breath. I owe it to myself and my family!" Because Ducks never back down.
no subject
"Why on earth would I want you dead? If I wanted you as a corpse, I would have killed you when I first escaped the dime. No, death is too quick a mercy." She wanted him to suffer, wanted him to live in agony, wanted him to live as long as she did.
"I want you." She stepped closer in again, backing him up against his own work desk. "Mind, soul... and body." She traced a finger down his chest. If he didn't get that hint, she might just smack him.
no subject
He kept trying to back of,f that she made him do it at all, until he bumped against his desk. Her body was so warm that he could feel it from a distance. He became strangely hot and dizzy as her finger stroked his chest. It was hard for him to think. But her look so... hungry. Her eyes dark. "Me...?" He repeated hoarse. "As in, you want me to give myself to you?"
Dumbfounded, he looked at her. "What makes you say that? I mean... since when...?"
He fell silent, was far too confused to form clear sentences.
no subject
She smirked, knowing what words to use as daggers.
"You stole your parents freedom away for decades... they could never visit their children, their children's children... never live among the world with their friends and loved ones... compared to all that... don't you feel it's an equal trade? Their freedom for yours?"
She placed her hands on the desk, effectively trapping him there. "I give you my word... become mine, and your parent's nightmare will end."
no subject
Scrooge straightened up to his full size, grabbed Magica by the hip as quick as a flash and pulled her to himself that she couldn't escape. "Why do I have the feeling that we are not just negotiating for one night? The freedom of my parents in return for mine? What kind of exchange is that? Do you really think my parents would be happy if I sacrificed myself for them? What good is their freedom if they still can't see their son because he is in the hands of a de Spell?"
Did she think he was so foolish? Or so blinded? Sure he had a guilty conscience, but he knew no one was helped that way. "So let's talk about details now or this conversation is over!"
He pulled her a little closer, leaned forward and let his lips play along her neck without really touching her. "So tell me what exactly you want from me, Magica. Everything is still negotiable..." While talking his lips touched her skin very delicately.
Then he straightened up again and looked into her eyes waiting. He didn't know why she wanted him all of sudden but if it really offered a chance to help his parents...
Would it be so bad to give himself to her? He could not deny that Magica was an attractive woman. On the contrary, she was breathtaking both in body and personality. But she didn't need to know that...
no subject
But being in the dime for so long had deprived her of touch for ages - feeling it again sent a pleasant shock wave throughout her body. She bit down on her lip, licking it before speaking again.
"Ever the businessman, even when his loved ones are in peril..." She reached up to run her fingers through his whiskers. "How cold and calculating of you." It was one of the wicked thing she admired about him.
"Then let's bargain. How about... for every night you give me, I'll grant you a day of freedom for your family?"
no subject
He put his fingers under her beak so that she could look at him directly. "Don't accuse me of being cold and calculating if you have the ability to help, but only offer this help for such a price. It may be my fault that my parents are trapped, but it was never my intention. But you are aware of the consequences from the beginning..."
It was a strange feeling to look so deeply into her eyes. During their fights he had never had the time. Even though the shape of her pupils and the color of her eyes were extraordinary, they were beautiful. But he also recognized a deep emptiness and loneliness in it. He wondered how her life had gone so far, even apart from the 15 years in the dime. Had she ever experienced warmth and love? How had it come to this?
"Why is there this feud of blood between our families, Magica?" Carefully he drew her a little closer to himself. Not to hold her down, but to give her the feeling of closeness. "Wouldn't your side mind if you both wanted to help me and share the bed with me?" A justified question he found.
no subject
"As long as I get what I want, I don't care who suffers. For a long time, you were the same way." Then he got soft. He got a family. Without them, perhaps he would be as strong as she was. What a tempting thought.
"But I can negotiate. One night, for one week for them? I will go no higher."
no subject
"Both your motives and your goals are unclear to me. There was a time when you said you wanted wealth and power. But then you arbitrarily start to destroy everything instead of leading a life in luxury and now you stand in front of me and demand my body..."
He hesitated. To pronounce these words was.... strange. With his arms he supported himself against the wall to the right and left of her.
"We won't get any further like this, I want to finally learn to understand you. I have had enough of this feud imposed by our families."
Without warning he leaned forward and kissed her. A fleeting touch that surprised him as much as her. His eyes were astonished as he retreated from her. What had got into him? And how could such a short contact feel so right, so wonderful.
His forehead was worried and wrinkled. "I can't sell you my body. My parents would die if they learned what the price for their freedom is and it is impossible to hide anything from them..."
He looked further into her eyes. "But that's as clear to you as it is to me.And even though sometimes I've done unscrupulous things. I don't stick at nothing, Magica. I care if others suffer even if I don't care as much as I should..."
no subject
She blinked wildly, and touched her lips when they were apart. That was... very nice. She licked her lips. This was a dangerous game he was playing, teasing her with a taste.
"My, my... you say you're refusing me, but your body is certainly telling a different story, isn't it?" She chuckled darkly. "How long can those precious scruples of yours hold out?"
no subject
He took a step back to be able to completely absorb the sight of her. She was enticing, well-shaped curves, silky black hair that invited to drive your fingers through it. And that seductive smile. He could have all of it, right now.
But something held him back. That way nothing would ever change between them. Even though Scrooge, probably in contrast to her, had a loving family, he also lacked any form of physical contact.
They would both become addicted and interdependent but the unnecessary hatred would not disappear. On the contrary, he even feared the certainty that it would never be more than sex would stir up the hate. He didn't want that.
Even if he admitted that he did want her.
He shook his head sadly. "I can't prevent my body from feeling attracted to you. I am not blind, you are beautiful..." For a moment his eyes became dark with lust, but his mind was stronger than his instinct.
"But not like that. As I said, I am tired of it. Sleeping together does not help us to understand each other. And this mutual physical attraction is neither particularly surprising nor new." His gaze was penetrating.
"So yes you are right, I probably want you as much as you want me, but that is meaningless if there are no feelings between us. And as long as you claim to be nothing more than the Queen of Shadows, there is no chance."
no subject
"Oh... you always knew how to make me laugh, Scroogie." A few more chuckles, as she put her hands behind her head.
"Isn't hatred a feeling?" She asked mockingly, watching his face. "You think I'll become some doe-eyed fair maiden who falls in love after a few pretty words? I didn't get this powerful by being weak. My heart is stone." She thumped her fist to her chest, as if expecting to hear a hollow sound.
"You can't understand me anymore than I can understand you."
no subject
He walked towards her and supported himself with his hands on the armrest of the chair on which she was sitting. "So you admit that you can't understand me and that you don't have the guts or the brains to try?"
His grin was frighteningly evil for being the "good" one of them. "Then at least you know now why your attempts to beat me have always failed. Even Glomgold tries it at least..."
She made him mad, so much potential but so much false pride. "Or does your desire cloud your mind so much? But if that's all you want from me, why don't you take it? You are a witch and have already used countless love potions on me. But never have you taken what you seem to long for so much. Why not?" He continued to lean forward threateningly.
"I suppose because you do care after all. Without my consent, without me also wanting it, it would not be the same. But instead of admitting that, you rather use my parents as bait."
He stroked her teasingly through the soft hair. "What are you afraid of?
no subject
She sat up straight, feet on the floor, her voice close to a snarl.
"I fear nothing and no one, McDuck." She gripped the armrests of the chair, learning just as much as he did. "You're playing a dangerous game here. You think you can insult me so easily and get away with it?"
no subject
"If you're not afraid, answer my question. Why the blood feud? Or do you want to tell me you continue it without knowing why?" For a short moment his gaze became softer if no less penetrating.
"Do you realize that together we would be much more powerful than each for himself...? If you don't know the answer, let's investigate together. If you're still convinced afterwards that you have to hate me, that's fine. Then so be it..."
He leaned a little bit closer. "But if you unexpectedly realize that it is not a weakness to have a heart. Then allow it. Maybe one day you want to help me without asking an unaffordable price for it... just maybe".
Very lightly he rubbed his beak to hers. "I for my part would feel more attracted to my partner than to my blackmailer". Their lips touched as light as a feather when he spoke.
"It's not like I want to deny you what you desire. As I said, you don't leave me cold, Magica, on the contrary. At the moment I almost wish my heart was also made of stone. But I know from experience that in the long run it does not make you happy to seal yourself off. Believe me..."
Terrible memories of his sisters and later of Della came up in him. No, he didn't wish that feeling on anyone. He wanted to show Magica that life had more to offer.
no subject
Scrooge had a large, extensive family that loved him despite his many faults. She had nothing and no one, not even a pet for comfort. As a result, her blood feud with Scrooge had become her entire life, her sole reason for being. And he wasn't going to take that from her so easily.
Anger and lust mixed together to create something dark. "If you had any sense, you'd throw me out the door. But instead... you can't keep your hands off me." She grabbed him by the collar of his jacket and pulled him in, almost on top of her as she sat in the chair. "I don't desire some fairy-tale romance. I want your life."
no subject
Magica was really more stubborn than he was. "You still don't seem to be listening to me. I do not deny at all that I desire you. Nor would I of all people be suitable to offer you a fairy tale romance".
He laughed dryly. "I am a cheap, old sinner and certainly no fairy tale prince. But I won't throw you out as long as I think I can show you something new. Maybe my nephews have managed to make other people more important to me than before. But so far that didn't hurt me but made me stronger."
It was really hard for him to speak sensibly while Magica was sitting under him and saw him with this fiery look into his soul. "Even in our last fight, I could only win in the end because I wasn't alone..."
He could no longer look at her angrily, his expression was mild. Also in him lust and reason fought for supremacy.
"You say you want my life but don't understand that I am offering you exactly that. Maybe it's crazy that I want to let you live so far into my life. But also not more insane than many other things I have already done. It would definitely be a new adventure."
He stroked her cheek. "Can't we both stop being so stubborn for a moment? If I admit that I won't be able to resist you for very much longer. Would you at least be willing to admit that you are interested in the origin? The Magica de Spell I knew never stopped learning new things. Have the 15 years really changed you so much? I don't believe it, because then you wouldn't even be here to seek my closeness."
