sweet dreams are made of these / who am I to disagree (scrooge x magica)
Magica was tempted to throw the ridiculous thing out - Roberta meant well, but really, a dreamcatcher? At her age? Maybe it was Magica's own fault for complaining so much about her dreams. She didn't think her friend would take them seriously - especially since Magica wasn't telling the whole truth about those dreams. They involved Scrooge, but they weren't exactly nightmares...
"Bah", she said out loud, setting it up above her bed before blowing out the candles. "Maybe a good night's rest will give me a good idea on how to get the dime out of that old miser's hands." Satisfied with that, she tucked herself into bed, and drifted off into sleep easily enough.
Roberta, however, also hadn't told the whole truth about the dreamcatcher. It wasn't meant to catch dreams - it was meant to give them, and connect them. Maybe this would make her stubborn friend admit one or two things in the morning. She meant well!
In the world of dreams, Magica found herself where she usually did - at the Money Bin, ever so close to snatching the time from its sacred pedestal. The strange thing, though, was that Magica was fully aware it was a dream. How strange! Weren't dreams supposed to feel real until you woke up?
Oh well. What difference did it make? She carefully lifted the glass top off, thinking she was alone in Scrooge's office.

He buried his face in his hand in a gesture of despair. "I'm just trying to give you the chance to get out of here if you wish."
Slowly he lowered his hand so that his penetrating gaze hit her directly into the soul.
"For if you stand here before me for a moment longer, I can guarantee nothing more..." Almost threateningly he took a step towards her. "Or do you think my desire for you is satisfied after just one night?"
She was still standing against the wall and he slammed both fists against it next to boths sides of her head.
"I love you and I desire you so much that it almost tears me apart. But I don't want to do anything to you that you might not agree to. Don't you understand that?"
His gaze was begging. "I am ready to do anything for you. And if that meant forgetting last night then I will and if it kills me."
His face approached hers so that he could feel her warm breath on his lips. "But for that I would need distance... so tell me what you want..."
His gaze was piercingly directed at her beautiful black eyes.
"Go now and let us forget or become mine!"
A part of him wondered if he would really be able to let her go. But the man of honor in him was stronger than any desire, at least for now...

Her heart jumped into her throat. She didn't think he'd be this bold and say such things out loud so easily, when she mumbled and whispered her own admissions.
Well, if he would do anything, would he hand over the dime? ... No, that question would just make things worse. He was in no mood for teasing.
But at the same time... and she knew it was wildly inappropriate...this was making her warm all over. She bit down on her lower lip, feeling her heart race. She knew he was a man of honor and conviction, so he wouldn't force her. But... still... could she push it a little further? She wasn't a good person, after all.
"If I wanted to leave, don't you think I would've done so already?" She tried to sound more confident than she felt, his gaze setting her on fire. It was getting harder to think straight.
"You're... still so foolish, Scrooge..."

"But never let yourself be seen in Duckburg again afterwards. The hand of Midas may bring you immeasurable wealth. But that doesn't buy you the finesse and influence I have built up over my many years. Rich or not, you will not be able to gain a foothold in this city until I allow it..."
He gave her a moment to let his words take effect. "But apart from that I'm afraid you still don't understand me..." He approached her so close that he pressed her against the wall with his whole body, only slightly, but so that she could feel what she had triggered in him. "Even though I'm almost mad with desire for you, I won't sleep with you before you give me an answer". Teasingly he drove his hand along her body until he could grab her at the waist and pull her closer to him.
"I said become mine."
A little closer. "I didn't say, "Let me have your body." I want you all or not at all. Forever!
His lips were so close to hers but he refused to close the gap.
"After the eternity in which we know each other there is really no need for reflection any more. You know everything from me and I from you..."
With his gaze one could have even divided air into two clean halves, so sharply was it.
"Go now and let us forget or agree to become my wife!" He repeated his words more explanatory.

Why hadn't he used that threat before? It was certainly making her stop to think - but not for long, as he suddenly pressed their bodies together. It rammed a spark into her body, and she almost yelped. All the memories of that night flooded back at once.
For a maddening second, she thought he'd have her right then and there - and she wouldn't exactly have fought it. He knew she wanted him, so why did he feel a need to tease? Didn't he have what he wanted right now? The admission of her feelings, whatever they were?
... Then came that last word that threw her off.
"Your WHAT?!" Did she hear him right?! Wife?! W-w-wife?! Who said anything about marriage! They hadn't even gone on a single date yet!
no subject
"I'm sure no couple who ever got married knew each other as well as we do."
He put her hand on his heart and held it there. His voice sounded confident and firm but his gaze was full of tenderness. He knew that he had completely overwhelmed her, but he would not be satisfied with less.
"How much longer should we dance around each other until the "right time" has come? We know each other at our worst. What remains to be learned we can also find out about ourselves together."
His fingers caressed her hand while he was talking.
"We fought side by side, saved each other's lives and even had dinner together without a love potion, if it had to be a "normal" date."
He lovingly stroked her hair. He just loved to play with it, so silky soft it glided through his fingers.
"Tell me what more proof do you need? The world would tremble before us if we wanted it that way. You would be the richest and most powerful witch in the world. Even your magical mission would be fulfilled."
He gently kissed her forehead. He didn't dare to touch her any more at the moment without ravishing her. "I told you last night that I want you to always look at me. I don't want to share you with anyone. You shall belong only to me."
His eyes were dark with longing. "Can you look me in the eyes and say that it is completely absurd that we belong together forever?"

But then... he raised an awfully good point. She blinked as she thought it over.
If she did become Mrs. McDuck, she'd be filthy stinking rich.
Sure, she wouldn't be free to spend his money - shoot, he never spent his own money! - but she'd have all the things the Midas Touch was supposed to give her. A mansion, servants, hot meals all the time...
...So what if the world thought she was a gold digger? Who cared? She'd have all the money she could ever want, and she would have Scrooge. It was a win-win.
All at once, her body relaxed. Suddenly everything became clear.
If he wanted an answer, he'd get one - with her suddenly kissing him, deeply.
no subject
"Just so you know, I'll take that as a yes!"
After these short words he again claimed her lips and his tongue begged for entrance.
He kissed her deep and long. She belonged to him. After all those years he finally owned what he had always believed he could never have.
"Yes, the world will declare us crazy..." He meant full of anticipation. "Society will try to convince itself that what we have is not real. That I'm only interested in your magic and you're only interested in my money." His voice still sounded indecently amused." And they will fail miserably at us. No one will ever be able to successfully stand in our way again." In his eyes flashed adventurous charm.
Scrooge was a man of honor but never claimed to be a completly good person.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have fallen in love with a witch.
His eyes were covered with lust when he looked at her. "Let's go home, Magica McDuck. As much as I enjoyed the dream of last night. This time I want to love you in my house. In my bed..." He kissed the mark on her neck. "I think I'll ask Mrs. Quackfaster to cancel my appointments for today..." He meant the lips close to her skin. "I desire you so much my love. I finally want you in reality. I just can't get enough of you..."

But she wasn't going to be entirely submissive. If he wanted all of her, he'd get the sneaky parts too. She snapped her fingers, and her flying broom sat up right, ready to obey her commands.
"If we go out like this, I think we'll give the poor woman a heart attack." Teasingly, she began to push him away with one finger. "So, how's about this? I'll race you home."
She'd eventually have to gather her supplies and Ratface from Vesuvius... but again, details, later. She clutched the broom in one hand, smirking at him.
"If I get there first... you get me the most expensive diamond ring on the market."
no subject
He kissed every spot of naked skin he could reach from his position. "Don't fly away..."
Even if he didn't admit it, he was afraid if he let her go alone now, she could change her mind again.
He didn't mind her sneaky, teasing nature, that's not what it was about. But just at that moment he needed her closeness like air to breathe.
no subject
"All right, all right... but you have to be patient." She warned, holding up the broom between their legs. "I need to concentrate when I fly. Or else we'll crash, and then neither of us gets to have any fun."
She wagged a finger at him. "So, do you think you can behave for... five minutes?"
no subject
Bravely he took a seat behind her on the broom and only held on innocently to her hip. Of course he didn't want to risk her getting hurt because of him.

It wasn't a far ride to the mansion - it was even faster than a racing car. She held tightly to her broom, making sure neither of them would fall off despite the speed.
Soon enough, they were at his window, and popped inside with one more boost. They landed slowly and softly on the floor, and she held up her broom in victory. "Thank you for flying with Air Magica."
no subject
Nobody had claimed that Magica was the only one who could take advantage of her connection.
He embraced her tenderly from behind again and whispered in her ear. "I hope the next time we are on the way to our honeymoon..."
They landed right in his bedroom. This would require some explanation if they suddenly showed up in the mansion without ever having officially arrived. But he didn't care about that at the moment. He gently turned her around so he could look at her.
"Please tell me I'm not dreaming this time. That you are really here with me..."
He could hardly comprehend his happiness.
no subject
"I'll admit... part of me is still wondering if this all a dream too." She nestled up into his chest, letting her broom fall to the floor, the journey over now.
"But if it is... I never want to wake up. I'll enjoy every lasting moment I can get." She tucked her head under his beak, blissfully content.
