First Date - Mikan & Naegi

Mikan was usually a walking display of wracked nerves, but today that was increased by 110%. It was Mikan's first date, not just with Naegi, but first in her life. She had always thought a life of love was not in her stars, but here she was, standing by her front door as she waited for Naegi to pick her up. She didn't know what he had in store for her, but she was sure he'd be disappointed on his end - no doubt she'd be so nervous and anxious through the whole day that he wouldn't have any fun.

Still, a flicker of hope dared to live in her heart. She wanted to do this with him - she wanted to have fun.

This was also Naegi's first date, and the boy was similarly nervous. Not as nervous as Mikan, for certain, and he knew this full well just from how long he'd known her. But he was determined to make this the best first date for both of them, even if he knew there'd be slip-ups. The both of them were fairly clumsy in many respects, after all.

But that didn't mean he wouldn't try! He'd wanted to do this with her, too, and his focus was going to be on her needs tonight.

As close to on time as he could be (as if he'd really set an exact time), he arrived to Mikan's house and smiled at the sight of her.

"Hey, Tsumiki-san! Ready to go?"

Mikan almost jumped a foot when she saw him, but she managed to suppress a tiny eep. She nodded fervently before finally speaking, trying to smile.

"Y-Yes... I'm... I'm really excited about this. I'll go wherever you want me to go."

"Me too. Don't worry, I've got a couple of places in mind." He wasn't entirely sure where she'd like to do, so he tried his best to pick places that he was almost sure she'd at least like, if not love. It was going to be a fun night, he'd make sure of it. Mikan deserved some happiness, and he hoped he could give that to her, if nothing else.

Places? As in plural? Oh, this was going to be an exciting day. A smile crept on her face, Naegi was always so smart. "You're really amazing at this... Have you ever gone out with anyone before?"
