Secret Admirer - First Meeting - Donald & Daisy
All great romances have a beginning - and so did Donald and Daisy's. But on the day they first met, romance had actually been the furthest thing on their minds.
Daisy had only recently moved to Duckberg, with her own little house on a pretty block of street. Eventually her parents would stop sending her money and she'd need a job of her own in order to keep this quaint house. Daisy had come up with what she saw as a brilliant idea - working under Scrooge McDuck. The world's richest duck surely paid his employees way more than your average retail worker or gas station attendant! She would be on easy street soon enough.
With a final adjustment to her bow, she headed to the money bin, having heard that was were Scrooge and the majority of his employees worked. Okay, she wasn't entirely sure what she could do for him, but a guy that rich was bound to have something open. Upon arrival, she had to stop and gawk at the impressively large building. Was it really filled top to bottom with money? Wow!
"I don't think anything else can ever impress me again!"

As Donald passed Daisy in the sidewalk, he tipped his hat at her.
"Hiya, toots"
And continued onto his car... only to stop short and turn around, looking at the girl skeptically. What was she doing here, anyway, loitering? He walks back up to where she was gawking.
"Can I help you?"
no subject
"Yes, you can!" She said giddily, running up to Donald. "You work here, don't you? For Scrooge McDuck?"
Also, if all the guys who worked for Mr. McDuck were this handsome, it'd be a really swell job.

He wasn't a full time employee, not really, but he'd done enough odd jobs for Scrooge, and was dragged along on enough of his so called adventures that he may as well be one.
"Scrooge McDuck is my uncle."
no subject
"This is perfect! You can absolutely help me out!" With flourish, she put a hand to her chest. "My name is Daisy Duck, and I'm here to ask your uncle for a job!"
no subject
Only for it to be broken by his boisterous laughter. Like it was the funniest thing in the world to him.

She balled her fists, and then stomped down hard, missing his foot by mere inches. "What's so funny?"
no subject
"You really want a job working for Uncle Scrooge?"
no subject
Daisy might have been jumping to a few conclusions, but she did have a bad temper. In fact, in her home town, she was infamous for it.

He was just as much of a "commoner" as Daisy was, having Scrooge for an Uncle did him no favors.
"Uncle Scrooge might be the richest duck in the world, but he's also the cheapest!"
no subject
"You're just trying to drive me away! I don't care if you really are his nephew or not, I'm getting a job!"
