Your Past, My Future - Bunnie & Antoine
Just as there are two sides to every coin, there were also two sides to Antoine D'Coolette. One side had a proud ego boasting that the D'Coolette line would last forever, with him as the greatest hero that ever lived. The other side had a crushing lack of self-confidence that believed he was little more than a cog in the machine of life. These two sides often did battle with one another, with the victor depending on the mood he was in.
His mood was terrible lately. His bad luck was worse than usual, as every other day, he felt like destiny was trying to kill him. Cars dodging him on the road by a hairlength, accidents from the sky only missing him because a friend shouted, poisoned food someone else ate when he wasn't hungry... Now that night, he'd heard noises in his own house, despite the fact he had KNOWN the door was locked.
Terrified, he slipped out of bed, and fumbled to grab his sword from his scabbard hanging off of his chair. Was he being robbed? Did he have anything of value to be stolen? Gulping hard, he opened his bedroom door, knees knocking.

Oh, she didn't have time for this. Locked doors were such a nuisance when it came down to it. Though she needed to gain his trust, and breaking into his place probably wasn't the best way to get said trust, she didn't have a choice. The Robian Machine's would be there soon.
"You'll thank me later, Sugah.." She arched back her hand and punched the window near the door so she could reach around and unlock the door.

He inched out into the living room, and saw something in the darkness going after his door. He rolled his shoulders, steeling his courage, and jabbed his sword forward. "Frozen!"
He meant 'freeze'.
no subject
She froze when the 'target' approached her and tried looking intimidating. Heh. He looked so cute when he was trying to look tough. He looked so young, too! (Though she was more fond of a more mature-looking Hunny-Twan.) Bunnie couldn't help but smile. "Ah think you mean 'freeze'?"
She grabbed the blade nonchalantly with her metal hand. "We gotta scoot, Antoine. Ah don't have time to explain. Get your things."
no subject
"So, a keed-napping, ees eet?" He guessed, still not getting the hint. "While I'm sure I'd make for a very good ransom, zis coyote will not be taken so easily! Be putting up your dukes, and I shall be making you regret your life of crime!" Just because she was a woman - the voice was a giveaway - didn't mean she should be treated as any less of a threat.

She crouched down, "Sorry, Sugah." She launched herself forward with the help of her rocket-like metal feet.

She lept forward and tried to grab Antoine to force him down. "Get down and be quiet!"

"... What was zat?" He mumbled in a low whisper, having an idea that whatever it was, it certainly wasn't a friend.

Bunnie crept over to the nearest door and cracked it open to peek out. She motioned for Antoine to follow.
fkjdksl JACQUES AND BELLE ;-;
He began to crawl towards the door until he could find the strength back in his feet. Once he was up, he sprinted for the door, hoping to get away from the noise, and from this crazy woman.
;-;
Maybe it had heard them already?

He clenched his teeth and rolled his eyes, loathing what he was about to do, as he partially blamed her for this whole mess - but he could not, in good faith, leave her behind to get hurt. He jerked back and grabbed her hand, resuming the run with her in tow. "Coming on! Eef your feet are fast enough to tackle me twice, zey are fast enough to get away from zis disaster!"
no subject
"We ain't gonna be hard to outrun 'em like this. C'mon now." Bunnie lurched forward, wrapped her hands around Antoine's waist, and took to the air. She could carry him and try to get a good headstart on the monster. She'd have to keep low so she wouldn't draw attention.

He let out a particularly cowardly shriek as he was zoomed up into the air, clutching the woman in case she dropped him somehow. As they got further away from his demolished house, his eyes rolled around, and his mind went into delusion. "I am getting eet now! Zis ees all a very very bad dream! I shall be waking up any second, and zen go out to train, and vow never to eat sweets before bed again..."
no subject
Bunnie glanced back over her shoulder at the small house behind them "That thing is a Hyper Metal Drone. It's tryin' to destroy the Future Freedom Fighters' by makin' sure Belle and Jaques ain't ever born." She looked forward again while adding, "It's mission is to kill their Paw."
no subject
He cleared his throat before speaking again. "I am thinking you both are having ze wrong man, and eet has cost me my house!"

He swallowed hard, reluctant to say it but still speaking. "... You are saying zat... I will be having zese children? ... A boy and a girl?" He made the guess based on the names. She was free to ignore the smidgen of hope in his voice. Because it's not like he wanted children someday. It's not like he wanted both a boy and a girl. It's not like he had those names already in mind ever since he himself was a child.
no subject
"The big bad guy has been doin' all he can to take them down." She smiled to herself, perhaps trying to be subtle about how she was hugging Antoine close. "But their daddy trained 'em right and they ain't gonna go down so easy."
So the enemy decided to be cowards and go after their Maw and Paw here in the past. I came back to take care of you, and someone else came back to look after their mother."
no subject
"... Eef what you are saying ees true..." He looked away, oblivious to the tenderness of Bunnie's embrace. "... Not zat I am saying I am accepting any of zis, of course... But... you would be knowing ze Mama, zen?"
no subject
"Ah...well.. Ah now it might sound a little crazy hearin' it like this." She looked off. Oh, why did she feel so embarrassed by that question. "Yeah..." Bunnie held her wedding ring out to where it could be seen. "Ah'm your wife some years from now."
no subject
"I don't even know who you are!" It was loud, but it was the only thought he could process at the moment. "I am not even knowing your name!"
no subject
Bunnie put both hands on her hips and frowned, miffed by the lack of positive reaction at the idea. "You don't know it now, Antoine. We probably ain't met yet." She looked off, "And with that kinda attitude, you'll be lucky if'n I give it to ya!"
no subject
... No, even his ego said that was a ridiculous idea.
"You make eet sound as eef I am begging for eet!" All of his previous fears were put on pause, as the argument took hold. He crossed his arms, huffing and puffing like a big bad wolf. "I'll be having you know I can be having any woman I am wanting, at any time! I've just been..." A considerate pause. "Choosy."

"So, eef I was assuming zat zis ees all true... What am I to do now? Run and hide for ze rest of my life?"
no subject

He rolled his shoulders, sighing. "But eef you want to teach me one or two things, I am supposing ze polite thing to do would be accepting."
no subject
"The best way to defend yourself is gonna be knowin' how to deal with one of those drones. If'n you think ah don't play fair, you're gonna hate what they do." She held a hand out to him. "What're you gonna do if some big robot comes after you with guns? How're you plannin' to use a sword to get past somethin' like that?"
no subject
"I shall deflect ze attack like zis! Ha! Ask me a hard one!"

Oh boy, they were actually working together. There was no going back and saying he didn't believe her.

Problem being that their outer shell was an inch of solid steel...

"If you can avoid these things, you need to do that. If'n ya can't, then don't give 'em a chance to hurt you." Her look turned sincere. "Do whatever you need to do to keep yourself safe. I couldn't bear the thought of anything happenin' to you."
no subject
"... Zis ees going to make meeting ze 'present' you very awkward." He couldn't help but comment. "Eef I truly am going to marry you... her..., zen I am supposing I will have to know what eet ees zat wins her over. You over."
He slapped a hand to his eyes. "Zis ees going to be confusing."

And then she kissed him and his mind went blank.
Keep in minds, minutes ago he had accidentally admitted he'd never kissed a girl before, and the other way around was true too. He'd never gotten a kiss, and something as simple as a smooch to the cheek was overwhelming him. For once he had completely shut up, unable to speak or think beyond uhhhhhhhhh.

So then wh---
Oh.
Right.
Antoine used to be such a shy little thing when it came to any displays of affection. She'd almost forgotten! "Sorry." She said with a light chuckle. "It's just become a such habit back home, you know? It won't happen again."

He then began taking extremely rigid steps, still feeling his heart pound rapidly.
