Who would have thought realm hopping would come back to have some extra benefits?

Due to much of their home land needing recovery from the recent wars, and the preemptive wrath of Grima, there hadn't really been much of a location for the newly married couples to spend their honeymoon. Then the brilliance of Anna shone through - why not use the beautiful resort found in the realm they once saved?

Ricken stood on the hot beach, gazing at the clear sky. He couldn't believe how fortunate he was. His family's reputation was slowly but surely being restored, the world was at peace, and now he was on his honeymoon with his... wife. With Maribelle.

He expected to wake up from this beautiful dream any second now. He even closed his eyes, taking a deep breath of the healthy sea air. If this was a dream, he hoped he would keep sleeping for a very long time.

"Ricken darling! If you stay out in the sun too long, you'll burn to a crisp." Maribelle called out to him as she finally made her way to where he'd been waiting for her to get changed into her swimsuit. She'd actually opted for a rather bold choice in her mind, going with a bikini rather than a more conservative one piece, but she hoped Ricken's reaction might be worth it. Just because she was trying to pamper, spoil, or reward him in some ways didn't change the fact that she was a bit protective and bossy.

"Now let's set up our umbrella, and get on some suntan lotion first. Then we can play around however you like, alright?" Yes she probably over-prepared for this, taking out some of the fun of it in some ways, but ensuring that they wouldn't necessarily need anything else. She had a basket with their lunches, towels, shovels, and of course the lotion she was getting out right now to protect her fair skin from the suns rays. She used a parasol to keep the sun at bay in more regular climates, so she definitely wasn't about to let her honeymoon be marred by turning into a lobster.

It was strange in a way... She used to think of Ricken more like a younger brother, yet he proved himself time and time again to her. She really was planning on waiting until he was older for their marriage and honeymoon, but she had made a promise to him, and now that the war was over, she was rather eager to fulfill it. She needed a break from all the strife of the war, the destruction wrought by the fell dragon, and the exhaustion of the reconstruction. There was only one person Maribelle wanted to spend time with right now, and he was getting a cold glob of lotion rubbed up against his back.
