[It's a unusual image that greets everyone's minds today - or maybe you're used to the fact that a mouse wearing human clothes and a winged unicorn with a tiara are addressing you. Good for you if that's the case. Mickey's the first one to clear his throat -]

Uh, hiya everybody. Me and Celestia... we kinda made a huge mess durin' the festival. Kinda. Sorta.

We, perhaps, may have shared cake in a way not originally intended by the organizers of the festival. Which is to say... by throwing it. A very large quantity of it.

Lots of 'em, actually... Right. Well... I guess you could say things got outta hand... or outta hoof. But we're really sorry about the commotion we caused, and we hope we didn't ruin anyone's day. Parties like that should be fun for everyone.

I am very sorry if anyone was troubled by our impromptu food fight, or if anyone suffered any inconvenience or harm.

[Very specifically absent is an apology for the food fight itself. No regrets there!]

So we hope you accept our apology, and we promise ta be on our best behavior next time... unless she starts it again.
