Magica watched him evenly, frowning. It was possible that he was telling the truth... but it just also possible he wasn't.

"You wouldn't be lying to keep her safe, now would you?" Her fingers tugged on the chain harder, bringing him almost face-to-face to her. "I know you're not that stupid. Because if I found out you were lying... it would be very unpleasant."
